Cobus Fourie obtained a Higher Diploma in Dental Technology from Tshwane University of Technology between 1991 and 1994. In 1997, he established his own lab and soon realised that digital technology would revolutionise the dental industry. In 2001, his lab acquired its first CAD-CAM machine, followed by the Cercon Eye digital laser scanner a year later.
Over time, his lab upgraded to the fourth generation CAD-CAM system and integrated 3D printing into their workflow. Currently, the lab is collaborating with top digital dental companies to offer an open digital platform for their clients.
